A Day out in the West Cumberland
In mid November a large party of Brethren from West Lancashire made an early start to venture into the District of Cumberland and Westmorland set amongst spectacular scenery of the northern part of the Lake District. Leading the deputation was the DGP Paul Snape; also in attendance was the Dept.DGP Mark Barton as well as eight members of the District.

Cleator Moor in Cumbria may not be the easiest of places to get to but that didn’t deter visitors from attending the town’s Civic Hall and Masonic Centre to witness and enjoy the Installation of Lawrence James Hinde as District Grand Prefect for Cumberland and Westmorland.

District Grand Council was opened by R.W.Bro. John Hale, P.Dep.G.M., something he clearly enjoyed doing. And it gave him the opportunity to personally extend a warm welcome to the Grand Master and offer him the gavel.
